GEO: QUIET
4
A/B (quiet)
Solar activity remains in a quiet state with no significant eruptive events or geomagnetic storms reported. The current space weather environment is stable with minimal impact on terrestrial systems.
The Sun remains relatively calm, with X-ray flux levels holding in the B-range and a current Kp-index of 1.7. There are six active regions present on the solar disk, but their magnetic configurations are currently stable. The F10.7 solar radio flux of 122 sfu indicates a moderate baseline of solar activity, sufficient for standard satellite operations and high-frequency communication.
The current Kp-index of 1.7, which indicates a calm magnetosphere and normal operational conditions for power grids and satellite systems.
Conditions are expected to remain unsettled but quiet, with the Kp-index projected to stay below storm thresholds. Minor fluctuations toward Kp 3 may occur, but no significant geomagnetic disturbances are anticipated in the next 24 hours.
Aurora activity will be largely confined to high polar latitudes. Mid-latitude observers should not expect visible auroral displays, as current geomagnetic energy levels are insufficient to drive the aurora toward lower latitudes.
